Machine bed as a flat bed with heavy wear on the “counter surfaces” for the wedge strips (under flat bed guide)
If the wedge strips of the Z-axis are readjusted until they are in contact with normal preload, the machine jams (from approx. Z+800). If the wedge strip is sufficiently loosened (for the entire travel range of the Z-axis), the machine stops during thread cutting with a positioning error. Short diameters can be achieved in the chuck area with several cutting edges in the control system. Continuous diameters are turned conically by approx. 0.2 mm / 100 mm.
