Description

  • The machine is first-hand and was used exclusively as a demand machine for processing refined steels. The previous owner is a renowned German metalworking company known for its high quality standards. The sale took place because the corresponding work was outsourced. Machine structure: Machine stand Welded construction with bolted, hardened, and ground guide rails. Guide width: 1,400 mm. The guideways are protected by telescopic covers. Machine bed Welded construction with bolted-on, hardened and ground guide rails. Guide width: 1,300 mm. Guideway protection by means of telescopic steel covers. Stand slide Guided on the machine bed via roller elements. The contact surfaces are plastic-coated to dampen vibrations. Headstock slide (with hydraulic weight compensation) The guide surfaces on the front of the stand and the rear guide rails are plastic-coated and equipped with roller elements in the load areas. Adjustment is carried out via two separately controlled ball screws to prevent the spindle head slide from tilting. Spindle head with milling head holder and milling head The milling head holder can be swiveled through 340°, and the milling head itself through a further 180°. Both units are lifted and clamped hydromechanically. Indexing is performed via a flat gear, with a minimum pitch of 1°. All positions of the milling head and milling head holder can be approached automatically via CNC control. The milling spindle has a hydromechanical quick-action tool clamping system. Chip conveyor Hinged belt conveyor with fork length corresponding to the travel distance of the machine stand. Machine history The machine is in exceptionally good condition and was completely overhauled in 2017. Among other things, the control system was upgraded from a SIEMENS 840C to a SIEMENS 840D SolutionLine, including a completely new control cabinet. The orthogonal universal milling head was completely overhauled. Various roller bearings and carbon brushes were replaced, the DC motor was overhauled and the Y-axis was revised. Since then, the machine has been used very little – ultimately the reason for the sale.
